internet positive

(topic to be developed further - initial notes for now)

Internet Positive is a phrase I coined to describe a more accepting, positive approach to interacting with others online. Similar to sex positive, internet positive respects and affirms different ways people interface with online interaction. Much like how sex doesn't need to fulfill an end reason of procreation, doing things online doesn't need to have an end-goal in mind.

  • Background
    • Some of this thinking was stemmed by frustration with those who view certain types of online interaction as "wasting time" or that this hyper-connected culture will lose its way without being able to function IRL.
